Put a Ring On It

The latest couples who used Peculiar Vintage to make their engagement and wedding rings are Johanna and Ed, and Che and Max. One thing that we loved about these couples were their desire/brief for something bold, beautiful and away from the traditional.
Starting with Johanna and Ed, who are planning for a June wedding in Sweden (Johanna's birth place), they wanted rings to reflect a viking reticulated wedding band for him and an emphasis on mixed metal and unusual Diamond for her. The other focus was remodelling Ed's mum's Welsh Gold wedding band for Johanna as her engagement ring. Stef our designer had a lot of fun sketching options for her.
Once Johanna decided on a design the next stage was to pick her Grey Diamond and after a few weeks of options, we found her a beautiful dark grey 0.73ct sparkler. The results are shown below, adorned by two happy customers.
Che and Max came to PV with a specific request for two stones for Che's engagement ring rather than a solitaire. She had her eye on something natural, hand hewn and either a grey diamond or moonstone, with a rose quartz. Che was taken with PV's Sula collection, so Stef sketched a ring to amalgamate the two, with a Silver layer band and two gemstones set in Gold claws. The next step was to choose the stones. The Rose Quartz was easy enough and in the end a Diamond in the right shade to compliment pastel pink was our focal point. After a few weeks, we found a beautiful .18pt light grey with a slither of pink hue Diamond (see below). We sent the finished ring to Che in Essex, a day later this was her response :
'Your ring arrived and I am just over the moon. It is better than I could have imagined, fits perfectly and reflects just what we wanted. Already getting comments on how quirky and cool it is. Really very happy that we have something hand made and that we found you to do it.'
